I found time to trace the templates on Freezer paper. Cut out the little pieces and iron them on the fabric. Trace again along the templates and then draw the lines for a 1/4 inch seem allowance. Finally, cut the fabric and lay-out the pieces to be sewn together. This process is soothing for the soul and allows for a meditative moment - quality time. It allows me to dream. It also forces you to focus on constructing the puzzle of this baby Jane block and it allows you to reflect on the puzzle of life in general. Jane, your quilt takes a combination of skill, patience, and creativity to make. I admire this in you. It is a test of perseverance.
I’ll show the progress of constructing these babies in another post.
